A beautifully balanced pairing of our Ostro Sea Green Recycled Glass Lamp Base and Aster Lampshade, brought together as a complete ready-to-style table lamp.

Compact, colourful and full of character, this combination is particularly suited to bedside tables, small side tables, shelving, console tables and smaller spaces where you want beautiful lighting without overwhelming the room.

The softly rounded sea green recycled glass base complements the rich botanical tones of the Villa Nova Aster fabric beautifully, while the Celadon Green fabric flex has been specially chosen to coordinate with the glass and complete the look.

Design & Style

The Ostro's organic rounded silhouette provides a beautifully simple foundation for the expressive botanical pattern of the Aster shade.

Handmade using premium Villa Nova Aster Emerald fabric, the lampshade features flowing, painterly foliage in layered emerald and blue-green tones. When illuminated, the fabric takes on a wonderfully warm character while allowing the botanical pattern to remain visible.

Below, the translucent sea green recycled glass catches and reflects both natural and artificial light, creating a lamp that looks just as beautiful switched off as it does illuminated.

The proportions have been carefully chosen, pairing our 20cm diameter × 15cm high Aster drum lampshade with the compact Ostro base for a balanced finished lamp.

Material & Craft

The Ostro base is handcrafted from 100% post-consumer recycled glass, giving every lamp subtle individual variations in colour, texture and character.

Each base is professionally converted into a functioning table lamp in our UK workshop using high-quality electrical components and finished with approximately 2 metres of Celadon Green fabric flex.

The accompanying Aster lampshade is individually handmade to order using premium Villa Nova fabric. Careful pattern placement ensures the botanical artwork is beautifully presented around the finished shade.

As both elements contain handmade and artisan characteristics, subtle variations are part of what makes each finished lamp unique.

Complete the Look – Lampshade Diffuser

For an even more beautifully finished appearance, add one of our lampshade diffusers.

A diffuser sits neatly inside the bottom of the drum shade, helping to soften the light, reduce direct bulb glare and conceal the bulb from view.

This is particularly effective on bedside and side-table lamps where the underside of the lampshade may be visible from a seated or lying position.

Our diffusers are available separately and can be added to complete your lamp.
