Generously proportioned and full of colour, this complete table lamp has been designed for spaces where the lighting deserves to become part of the room itself. The oversized teardrop-shaped glass base is paired with a substantial 50cm drum lampshade, creating beautifully balanced proportions and a dramatic finished piece.
 
Finished with approximately 2 metres of premium Italian grey linen fabric flex, carefully chosen to complement both the deep blue glass and vibrant turquoise velvet.
 
DESIGN & STYLE
This combination is all about scale, colour and texture.
The XL Teardrop base has an elegant, organic silhouette formed from 100% post-consumer recycled glass. Its rich blue colouring catches the surrounding light, creating variations in depth and tone across the glass. Each piece naturally displays subtle differences and character as a result of the recycled-glass manufacturing process.
Above it sits our handmade Turquoise Cotton Velvet Lampshade, made here in the UK from beautifully soft cotton velvet. The saturated turquoise introduces another layer of colour while the tactile velvet contrasts wonderfully with the smooth, translucent glass below.
At 50cm diameter, the shade has the scale required to balance the substantial base rather than being overwhelmed by it.
This is a lamp designed to be noticed — ideal for a large sideboard, console table, substantial side table or anywhere that needs a confident focal point.

THE PERFECT PAIRING
One of the biggest advantages of buying this combination as a complete set is that the proportions have already been considered for you.
The substantial 39cm-wide glass base needs a generously sized shade, and the 50cm drum creates the balance we would recommend ourselves. The similar blue and turquoise palette ties the two pieces together without making them look overly matched, while the grey linen flex provides a softer neutral detail.
The result is a complete statement lamp that feels considered from top to bottom.
 
HANDMADE TO ORDER
Both elements of this set are handmade and finished to order in our UK studio.
The lampshade is individually made using premium cotton velvet, while the recycled glass vessel is professionally converted by us into a finished lamp.
Due to the nature of recycled glass, gentle variations in colour, texture, bubbles and surface character may occur. These characteristics are part of the individuality of each piece rather than imperfections.
 
FLEX
This set comes with approximately 2 metres of premium grey linen fabric flex from Italy.
We've specifically selected the grey linen for this combination because its understated tone works beautifully between the turquoise velvet and deep blue recycled glass.
Please note: unlike our individual lamp bases, the flex colour on this curated set is fixed and does not require a flex selection.
 
LAMPSHADE DIFFUSER
A lampshade diffuser can be added to the 50cm drum shade for a beautifully finished appearance.
The diffuser sits inside the lower opening of the shade, helping to soften the light and conceal the bulb and lamp fitting when viewed from above or across the room. This can be particularly effective on a large statement lamp such as this, where the shade forms such a prominent part of the overall design.
