Rich, luxurious and beautifully understated, our Brinjal Velvet Lampshade is handmade to order in our UK studio using Warwick's premium Plush Velvet in Brinjal.
The deep Brinjal colour sits beautifully between aubergine, burgundy and deep plum, creating a sophisticated jewel-toned shade that changes subtly as light moves across the velvet pile.
With no pattern to restrict the cutting direction, we can make excellent use of the fabric width when producing larger shades. This allows us to offer our full standard range up to 50cm, with even larger bespoke sizes available on request.

Our complete standard size range is available up to 50cm.
Because Brinjal is a plain velvet with no pattern repeat, the fabric can be carefully cut in the most appropriate direction for the shade being made, allowing us to accommodate larger sizes without the pattern-matching restrictions associated with printed fabrics.
Larger bespoke lampshades are also available on request. Please contact us with your required dimensions and we'll be happy to discuss the possibilities.
Interior Lining Options
All of our lampshades are supplied with a white lining as standard, creating a clean finish while gently diffusing light to produce a soft, ambient glow.

Complete the Look – Lampshade Diffuser
For drum lampshades, an optional diffuser can be added to create an even more polished and beautifully finished appearance.
The diffuser sits neatly inside the lower opening of the shade, helping to soften the light and conceal the bulb and lamp fitting when viewed from below or across the room.
This can be particularly effective when the lampshade is used on a ceiling pendant or on a lower table or floor lamp where the underside of the shade is more visible.

For ceiling lights
Coolie and Empire lampshades require a Spider Adaptor when being used as a ceiling pendant.
For table and floor lamps
Coolie and Empire lampshades require a Lampshade Carrier when being fitted to a table or floor lamp.
Drum and Rectangular lampshades do not require these additional fittings.
Aubergine Velvet Lampshade Handmade in the UK
The Brinjal Velvet Lampshade is an elegant choice for interiors where rich colour and tactile texture are more important than a busy pattern. Its deep aubergine, burgundy and plum tones create a luxurious statement while remaining remarkably versatile.
